Vice President Xi Jinping unveiled the“The Australia-China Joint Research Centre for Functional Molecular Materials” Which was built together by our school and the Australian national university
On June 22, 2010, Chinese vice President Xi Jinping who was being for the state visit in Australia unveiled the“The Australia-China Joint Research Centre for Functional Molecular Materials”for the Jiangsu University and the Australian national university in Canberra. Xi Jinping also watched the materials which was showed by the joint research center, Prof. Dr. Chi Zhang, a China's chief scientist of China-Australia Joint Research Center, introduced the center of the organization structure, the recent situation of the construction of and the received the major research results to Xi Jinping .
After the unveiling in the ceremony, Australia formally set nameplate“The Australia-China Joint Research Centre for Functional Molecular Materials” “中国-澳大利亚功能分子材料联合研究中心” which was together designed by Sino-Australian both sides and was made by the Australian national university on the porch of the chemical research institute of chemical building at the Australian national university.
The Australia-China Joint Research Centre for Functional Molecular Materials also held the first academic seminar of the Australia-China Joint Research Centre: the members of the Australia-China Joint Research Centre--Stuart r. Batten professor of the Monash university of west Australian, MaJing professor of Nanjing university, Zhang Chi professor of the Jiangsu university and Mark G. Humphrey professor of the Australian national university. They made respectively academic reports with the following topics: the construction and function of the multi-function nano ball, the material theoretical-chemistry-quantum chemical model and molecular dynamics simulation, adjusting the structures of the multi-core and poly-functional molecule clusters to modulate its third-order nonlinear optical properties.the design and synthesis of the aryl alkynyl ruthenium dentrites supramolecular and related functional compounds including the third-order nonlinear optical properties,They also made the academic study and discussion.
